At Rejuvenation, home is at the center of everything we do—which is why we’re excited to partner with nonprofit housing organization, Habitat for Humanity. Founded in 1976, Habitat for Humanity helps people all over the world to build or repair a safe, affordable place they can call home and our partnership with them is driven by our mutual love of home.
To further our commitment to their mission, we wanted to shed some light on Habitat for Humanity ReStores. ReStores are community-focused home improvement stores that accept donations of house parts and appliances removed during home renovations. They resell these still functional pieces at a fair price, diverting them from landfills and giving them a second life.
In 2020, we donated $36,000 in product to Habitat for Humanity Restores, and we also hold donation events to help our customers donate unwanted household items.
Our own origin story is rooted in architectural salvage, and reuse and sustainability are at the heart of our brand. We design and manufacture our collection of lighting, hardware, furniture, and home goods to last a lifetime, and beyond—which is another reason why we love ReStores so much. If you’re working on restoring a historic property or wrapping up a renovation or quick home refresh, donating your unwanted fixtures, home parts, gently used furniture, appliances, reusable building materials, and more to ReStores is a great opportunity to not only make sure that these items don't end up in a landfill, but also to do good for your community.
How exactly does Habitat for Humanity benefit? Sales of your donated items help the nonprofit partner with local families to build, rehabilitate, and repair safe and affordable homes in communities across the US and around the world. Together, we can help families achieve the strength, stability, and self-reliance they need to build a better future.
We're committed to donating $100,000 directly to Habitat for Humanity through the end of 2022 from sales of our best-selling Carson Collection.
