Ethical production is one of our priorities, which is why we are proud to work with Fair Trade factories and offer Fair Trade designs.
As a part of the Williams-Sonoma, Inc. family of brands, we are the first home retailer to offer Fair Trade Certified™ products, starting with just one rug factory in India in 2014—and we’ve since expanded the program across our brands to 17 factories impacting nearly 16,000 workers.
Rejuvenation’s Fair Trade goods are sourced from two factories located in Shanghai, China, and New Delhi, India.
What is Fair Trade?
Fair Trade is a global movement made up of a diverse network of producers, companies, consumers, advocates, and organizations. Products made in Fair Trade Certified™ factories support fair and safe labor practices, empowering workers to invest in their communities. Workers receive extra funds for every product purchased which are used for community projects chosen by workers.
We have a longstanding commitment to ethical production–we hold our suppliers, and ourselves, to the highest social and environmental standards in the industry.
When we partner with Fair Trade workers, we guarantee safe working conditions, environmental protection, sustainable livelihoods, and development funds that empower workers to invest in their own communities. To date, we’ve paid over $7.2 million back to workers to invest in education, healthcare, and support during the COVID-19 pandemic.
We are committed to supporting craft traditions and economies around the world, as craft is the second-largest employer of women globally.
Together, these standards ensure that our workers are able to support their families, enrich their communities, and continue to benefit from their craftsmanship. This element of sustainability allows us to have long-lasting partnerships with Fair Trade artisans and make a positive impact on communities around the world.
