Our Portland factory has manufactured bare bulb light fixtures for over 20 years. We love the warmth of a carbon filament bulb, and its cozy glow harkens back to the dawn of lighting design, when bulbs were exposed to allow maximum diffusion of light.

Carbon filament bulbs are beautiful — but inefficient. They produce a fraction of the light of a modern incandescent bulb at many times the power usage. It's not just the glow that's warm — incandescent bulbs literally burn off the bulk of that energy as heat.

That's why we were thrilled when "Edison-style" LED filament bulbs came onto the market. Finally, we can have the classic look of antique bulbs while being green. No more wasted wattage. And with a lifespan of 30,000 hours — 10 times that of its carbon filament predecessors — these beauties are build to last.
